{L At the recent session of the Michigan Baptist Convention at Brooklyn, the following resolution was adopted: Resolved, That express our horror and disapprobatiou of the whole system of American Slavery, but especial ly would we disclaim all fellowship with those professing Christians who buy, sell, and use their fellow men as property, as we would beseech them to repent, and break every yoke, lest God, who hears the groans of the oppressed, rise up out of His place for vengeance.
