Mrs. Katherine E. Ernst

Mrs. Katherine Jedele Ernst, 84, died yesterday afternoon at the home of a daughter, Mrs. George Geissel, 1129 Olivia Ave., after a lingering illness. She had made her home with Mrs. Geissel for the past seven years.
She was born on Sept. 10, 1859, in Freedom township, and was married on March 11, 1879, to C. U. Ernst, who died on March 13, 1922. A daughter, Mrs. Anna Frey, died on June 26, 1936.
She is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Charles Maurer, Mrs. Oscar Seeger, Mrs. Burt Lutz and Mrs. Geissel, all of Ann Arbor, and two sons, Fred of Clinton, and Andrew of Saline. There are nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
She was a member of Emmanuel Church at Manchester, where funeral services will be held at 3 o'clock Thursday afternoon. Burial will be in Oak Grove cemetery. Friends may call at the Dolph funeral home until noon Thursday, and after that at the Emmanuel Church from 1:30 until time for the service.
