John S. Seaver
YPSILANTI - John S. Seaver, 82 years old, 958 Sheridan St., lifelong resident of Ypsilanti and vicinity, died yesterday afternoon at his home following an illness of one week with pneumonia. His wife is ill with the same disease.
He was born April 21, 1861, in Ypsilanti township, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Hiram Seaver, and for many years operated a farm near here until poor health forced his retirement. On June 20, 1882, he married Miss Tracy M. Jeis, in Ypsilanti.
Surviving are the widow; two sons, Orrin J., Detroit, and Jay J., Evanston, Ill.; two grandchildren; and one brother, George B. Seaver, Ypsilanti.
Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon at the Moore funeral home here, with Rev. William R. Shaw officiating. Burial will be in Highland cemetery, where members of Phoenix Lodge No. 13, F. & A. M., of which he was a member, will have charge of the committal service.
