Age 64, died Friday morning in St. Joseph Mercy Hospital. Born March 12, 1903, in Ann Arbor he was the son of William P. and Fannie Freeman Flynn. On February 12, 1934, he married the former Katheryn Sims of Chicago. Mr. Flynn was employed as a finance officer at the Ypsilanti State Hospital. He was a member of the National Guard for a number of years and served in the U. S. Army during World War II and the Korean conflict before retiring from the service in 1954. He also was a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus, the American Legion and the V. F.W. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Dr. Patrick J. Flynn of Walled Lake, and Paul M. of Ypsilanti; a daughter, Mrs. Thomas (Maureen) Parks of Onancock, Virginia; eleven grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Robert Mercier of Ann Arbor and Mrs. Edward Linton of Pontiac; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday from St. Thomas Catholic Church. Burial will take place in St. Thomas Cemetery. Friends may call at the Muehlig Chapel beginning Saturday evening where the Rosary will be recited at 8:30 Sunday evening.
