Dr. Novy's Wife Dies At 79 Years
Mrs. Grace Garwood Novy, 79, the wife of Dr. Frederick G. Novy, sr., of 721 S. Forest Ave., died Tuesday night at her home. She had been ill for several weeks.
Mrs. Novy was born Dec. 18, 1867, in Fort Scott, Kas., a daughter of Spencer and Vashti Garwood. She came here with her mother from Bethlehem, Pa., in 1888, and had lived in Ann Arbor since then. She was married here June 30, 1891. She was a member of the St. Andrew's Episcopal church.
Surviving besides the husband are two daughters, Mrs. Warren C. Lampert of Marquette and Mrs. Archibald Diack of Portland, Ore.; three sons, Robert L. Novy of Detroit, Dr. Frank O. Novy of Saginaw, and Dr. Frederick G. Novy, jr., of Oakland, Calif.; 15 grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock tomorrow afternoon at the residence, Rev. Henry Lewis officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hills cemetery.
