Widow of Late Episcopal Prelate Passes Away at Age of 65
Mrs. Lillian C. Hastings, 65, widow of the late Dean Albert Adams W. W. Hastings of this city, died this morning at her home at 1511 East Park place, after seven weeks' illness.
Dean Hastings, who died June 25, 1920, at that time had entire charge of the Michigan diocese of the Episcopal church in the absence of Bishop Williams who then was in Europe. The family came to this city in 1917, when Dean Hastings was arch deacon of the southern deaconry of the Michigan diocese. He previously served for 25 years as rector of Alpena Trinity Episcopal church, Alpena.
Mrs. Hastings is survived by a daughter, Lillian of Ann Arbor; two sons, Thomas of Ann Arbor and Warren of Akron, O., several brothers and sisters and a grandchild.
Funeral services will be held at 4 o'clock Friday afternoon at the Muehlig chapel. Rev. Henry Lewis will officiate. Burial will be in Forest Hill cemetery. Friends may call at the Muehlig chapel.
