The folio wing singular means ofcuring habitual runkenness is émployed by a Ruseian physcon, Dr. Schreiber, of Brzese-Litewski: - It consista in confining the drunkard in a reorn ond furnishing liim, at discretion, with brandy diluted with two-thirds of water aa much wine, beer, and coffee, as he desirea but containing onethird of brandy; all the food- the bread, meat, &tc- -are eteeped in braney and water. The poor wighl iscontinually drunk and dort. On the fifth day of this régimen he has an extreme disgust for bro ndy he earnstly requesls other di9t, but his desires must not be yielded to, until the poor wretch no longor desires to eat or drink; he is then certainly cured of h6 penchanl for drunkness.
