It is to be remembered that every ireaty must be approved by two thirds of the Senate. The principal authority for this report is the fol - lowing paragraph from the New York Americnn: Trxas.- We have today directiy, and in such a shape as to command our belief, that a treaty for the annexation of Texas, unfinishe at Mr. Upshurs rieath, between him and the T'-xan minister, has been hurried to a conclu sinn by the Aciing Sccretary, Mr. Nelson, and siorned - and thnt to-raorrow or Monduy, it will go to the Senate, where noses have been counted - enough, it is said to insure its ratification. We repeat, our authority is reliable. If there be oo n.istake, then, we sny, the ratification of tke treaiy ÍS the dissolution of the Union."
