We find the folljwing condemnation of tlie practice in o rcsolution of the Whigs of some town in New Vork, the name of whicfi has eecaped us. It goes virtually to disfranchise all clergymen. The folJowing parngraph which an exchange paper states is from the Bakimore Patriot, needs no comment. Sensible Whigs ought to repróbate: Dislivguished Jlrnrah - Amonr those that tnay be looked for at the May Convenfion, wül be one of the largest and best men in Virginia, the larjjest and most eplendid ox, and an elegant Clay cot.oked coon, uil from Hardj county, of the Ancient Dominion. We learn also that tnany patriotic Whigs in the respective counties of Maryland, have it in confemplation to eend forward a number of choice c-ttle, sheep, bacon, &tc. which will be served up in such etyle as connot fail to meet the taste of our visitors from abroad on this occasion."
