Unitarian Church Plans New Wing
Construction of an $8,000 residential wing for the use of the pastor of the First Unitarian Church, 1917 Washtenaw Ave., will begin this week.
The six-room addition will be constructed at the rear of the church building and will be modernistic in style following a master plan for an eventually completely modernistic church unit.
The church addition was included among a construction total of $18,989 authorized during the past week by the city engineer's office.
Other alterations include a $3,000 addition to Pack's Service Station, 314 Detroit, and new store fronts for the Campus Bootery, 304 S. State, and Wahr’s Old and Rare Book Store, 306 S. State, New partitions also were authorized for the Varsity Flower Shop, 1116 S. University.
