On onr first page will be found a Message of Mr. Tyler, to the Senate, by which it eems he hns virtually concerted n war with Vlexico. By the nccompanying documente it appears that he has arsembled an army at ?ort Jessup, near the Sabine, of 1150 men, wi:h orders to keop up a constant communication with the President of Texas, but not o pass theboundary without further oroers. Also a fleet of nine vessels of war ia assem bied in the Gulf of Mexico, to hinder the Vlexicans from making an attack by 6ea. It i3s now leaked out that Mr. Tyler engagcd o make these military and moral demonstraions against Mexico, as a prerequisite to ob nining the consent of Texas to the Treaty of Annexation.1! Are th ere tobe no Jimits to our national degradation by the slaveholders? In Washington, Mr. Tyler's impeachment Í6 alkcd of, bnt nothing will be done about it. Tlie last advices from Mexico state that the „'overnmerit was determined lo persevere in ts project cf reducing Texas to subjecion.
