We recomnrerid to Liberty men to obsede this Bnnuul jubilee, by holding meetings on the Ponrth for the revivingr and enfordngr of thnee principies of equnl liberty and justice which were proclaimd on thwt day i J776. Nothing can be more npprupriote for the occasion . Where extensive celebrations can not be had, with disconrses prepared for tho occasion, let Liberty men meet together, nnd appomt sotne one of their nuniber to read some valuable Liberty documpntf, and tnke som? ooncerted action for fiirthennff the grent cauee of hnmnn freedom. But if there be no Libpny celrbration near you, suppoae you orni yourself vvi-h a bundie of tracts, and .pend the day in KiipDlyinjr yonr neihbora with these valuable publications. Shouid every Liberty mnn do so, ihe eflérfB vvould be considerable and peimatient. Liberfy men. we believe, have but Nttlp taste for pro-slavery celebra tions, however unexceplionoble in itself be the njanner of ennductinor them. It is too mtich like a mockery to them. The roar of cannon. the pealiner of belle, the euloffies of the orator on our fret insfi'ufionp, and the solemn thanka nddressed to Almighty God by the officia tingf clerpy man, that we nre a nntion of freemen. Sic. have but little power to charm him, when he reflecta that his own country liolds more sla ves than ony olher Christian naüo, and is become a hissing and a byword among the nations of the earth. Henee the propriety of the day lo the cau=e af Liberty, by laboring1 for the ealvation ofj "our countrvmen in chnins."
