Former City Resident Succumbs In Fenton
Mrs. Leta Lyons Comin, 83, widow of Dr. John Comin, died yesterday afternoon at the Hammond Rest Home in Fenton, Mich., after a long illness.
Mrs. Comin was born July 15, 1868, in Rockford, Ia. She was married to Dr. Comin on Nov. 25, 1897. He died Dec. 31, 1947.
She had been a resident of Ann Arbor since 1918 until last September when she went to live in Fenton.
Dr. and Mrs. Comin had been members of the First Presbyterian Church of Ann Arbor, during which time Dr. Comin was superintendent of home missions for the synod of Michigan of the Presbyterian Church. Previous to coming to Ann Arbor, Dr. Comin had held various Presbyterian pastorates.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Lee O. Case of Ann Arbor; three sons, James of Memphis, Tenn., Douglas of Detroit, and Donald of Wooster, O.; eight grandchildren; and a great-grandson.
Private funeral services will be held at 3 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at the Muehlig Chapel, Dr. William P. Lemon officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the chapel until 1 o'clock tomorrow afternoon. The family has requested that flowers be omitted.
