Native Of City Dies In Hospital
Miss Esther M. Schairer, 60, of 902 Rose Ave., an employe of the Pugsley-Butler Insurance Agency here for the past 18 years, died Friday at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital. She had been ill for the past five months.
Miss Schairer was born on June 7, 1899, in Ann Arbor, a daughter of Alfred C. and the late Lydia Staebler Schairer. Her father, a resident of Ann Arbor, survives.
She was a member of Bethle-Evangelical & Reformed Church.
Survivors, in addition to her father, include a sister, Mrs. Bert (Myrtle) Peterson of Mason City, Ia.; a brother, Roy M. Schairer of Ann Arbor; and two nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Muehlig Funeral Chapel, with the Rev. Ernest R. Klaudt officiating. Burial will follow in Bethlehem Cemetery.
