Are you willing to make this 6acrifice of every interest to secure office to a few party leaders? - Reflect and act!" But odmittingihe truth of these propositions does neccssarily make it the duty of the voters of Michigan to support Mr. Clay. Every vote given for h'un, for uught of satisfactory ovidence that has been presented, may be a vote "to add five slave States to the Union"! to extend overa vast foreign territory the thfee-fifths slave representation - "to give to slave States foreter the prepondeiance of power in Congresa" - to electa man who despises lrce labor, and is the unceaaing opposor of the liberty of 3,000,000 oí his counirymen! How much then, is tliere to choosc bet ween Clay and Polk?
