Insurance Man Ill Short Time; Was 51
Fred A. Hadley, 1120 Martin Pl., state supervisor of the Washington National Insurance Co., died last night at his home following a short illness. He was 51 years old.
Mr. Hadley was born in Tacoma, Wash., Nov. 5, 1891. He was married to Miss Vera Brewer in 1912. Following her death in 1939, he married Viola Smith last July.
He was a member of the Morenci Masonic lodge and the Sons of the American Revolution. He had made his home in Ann Arbor since 1926.
Survivors include the widow, two daughters, Josephine, New York City, and Patricia, Ann Arbor; a step-daughter, Phyllis, also of Ann Arbor; the mother, Mrs. K. Irene Hadley, Jackson; two brothers, James B., Mountain View, Ark., and Sheridan, Parma.
Funeral services will be held at the St. Andrew's Episcopal church at 2 o'clock tomorrow afternoon and will be conducted by Rev. Henry Lewis. Burial will be in Forest Hill cemetery. Friends may call at the Staffan funeral home until tomorrow noon.
