After consultation omonp prominent friends in different of portions the Staie, it has been deemed advisable without a formal notice Irom the State Central Committee, to cali upon Liberty raen ihroughout Michigan to meet in their several towns on TÜESDAY 1HE TH1RTEENTH DAY OF AUGUST, to perfect their organization, and make efficiënt preparationa loi tho coming elcction. Tbe labors of harvest will then be nearly completed; ihe evenings k-í 1 1 be of sufficient length to atlmit ofconiinued metings; and the elcction being but twelvo weeks distant irom tliat period, whatsoever ia to be done should be done with promptitude and vigor. It ia belieyed that the following simple plan o) t;88ociatcd action, if faithfully carried out, will accomplish wonders. 1. After rending this notice. letsome one appoint o place for the meeting on tho afternoon or evening of tbe thirteenth, as may be deemtd best, and notify every Liberty man in tho town to at tend without fail. Do not wait for the town committee, or for this or that influential man to take the Iead. Bo not afraid to take the respon - sibility yourself. 2 When met, let a chairman and iecretary be cho8en. 3. Then, in committee of the whole, let the name of every Liberty voter in the town be ascertained and registered by the Secretary. After this shall have been compleied, let another list be made of al! who are lavorably inclined to tho Liberty party, but not conftrrued in the faith, and of those who are doubiful. 4. Then ask yourselves what shall be done in your town to advance the cause beíore the election. How shall the genuino Liberty men be encouraged, the wavering contirmed, the doubtful won, the backsliders reclaimed, and converts multiplied? We take it for granted that every town will ninke some exeriicn9 io forward the cause in aome way. Those prolossed Liberty men who do not exert ihemselves for this glorio'J8 cause ought tobe considered as recreant to their principies. Do you ask what you can do?You can hold meetings every week, or every ' oiher week, till the elecüon. ! Yo can procure tracts and circuíate. You can obtain very many eubscribers for ïhe : Twelve Signd. You can proccre lecturers to address you-.-iBut home made ones are usuully the best. You can invite your Whig and Democratie neighbors to discuss wirh you. Do not neglcct this. If ihey accept, yoür cause wilf gairi by it; íf tliey refuse, it Will opérate to ibeir disadvantage. Deiermine on some dijiniu plan and follow it up. Do not leave things atlooseends. 5. Before you adjourn, appoint a Vigilance Committeé of three or five to carry out your ar rángementff. whntever they tnay be. If should be their duty to keep the liets of voiers before mentioned, correct thém from time to time, and see that every one is at the polls. We hope our frier.ds will feel the importnnce of securing even a single additiónat vote. It looks ineignificant in iiself, and ye: it is a component part of that power which wielda the trémendous cnergies of this nailon. Four additional votes IN EACH TOWN IN THE STATE WILL KODBLE THE vote of last YEAR. Wbát town cannot furnish 80 small atf increaae? The other parties.asyou are wnll aware, are making the most vigorous efforis for success, Shalt not genuino patriotism be as efieciual in exciting U8 to action, as party zeal and the hopes of politica! suprémaicy are' wit h therhi
