MANCHESTER - Miss Hazel K. Burtless, 53 years old, died at her home here yesterday. She was born Sept. 13, 1888, in Manchester and was the daughter of William and Carrie Carr Burtless.
Miss Burtless was a member of the Manchester chapter of the Order of Eastern Star; Woman's Christian Temperance Union, and of the Friendship class of the Methodist Episcopal church. She served as Manchester correspondent for The Ann Arbor News for many years.
A brother, Charles, Adrian, is the only close survivor.
Funeral services will be held at the Jenter funeral home here at 2:30 tomorrow afternoon and will be conducted by Rev. John Bunney. Burial will be in Oakgrove cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home.
