Former Salesman For Gas Firm Dies
Frank (Larry) J. O'Toole, 79, a former salesman for the Michigan Consolidated Gas Co., died Saturday night at St. Joseph's Mercy Hospital after a long illness. He lived at 322 N. State St.
An Ann Arbor resident for most of his life, he was employed as a salesman for the gas company for 37 years until his retirement in 1950. Previously, he was employed at Michigan Bell Telephone Co. for 23 years.
Born May 30, 1877, in Dexter, he was a son of Lawrence and Jane O'Toole. He was married to Mary Leavey in 1920 in Ann Arbor.
He was a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church, the church's Holy Name Society, and the Elks Lodge.
His wife survives.
Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Tuesday in St. Thomas Catholic Church, with burial in St. Thomas cemetery. Friends may call at the Muehlig Chapel, where the Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. today.
