Died September 18, 1981 at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital. Mrs. Lemon was born September 14, 1884 in Elizabeth, New Jersey, the daughter of John and Anna VanFleet Cary. Mrs. Lemon graduated from the New Jersey State University in 1902. On June 17, 1915 she was married to the late Rev. William P. Lemon in Newark, New Jersey. He preceded her in death in 1979 in Berkeley, California. Mrs. Lemon is survived by two daughters, Gwenyth Burrows and Kathryn McAllister (Mrs. J.P.); six grandsons, one granddaughter, two great granddaughters. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday at the Chapel at Hillside Terrace with the Rev. William C. Hillegonds officiating. Private burial services will be held Monday at Washtenong Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to the W.P. Lemon Scholarship Education Fund for Union Theological Seminary Students in care of the First Presbyterian Church of Ann Arbor.
