Four Stand Mute On Gambling Charge

Four Ypsilanti men, accused of gambling conspiracy, stood mute in circuit court Saturday and heard pleas of not guilty entered for them.

The four—Paul Wasson, 27, of 504 First Ct.; Marshall Taylor, 22, of 847 Jefferson St.; Harry Fuqua, 20, of 515 First Ct.; and Abbie Clay, 33, of 335 Second Ave. — are charged with operating a ring estimated by police to have "banked'' almost $3,000 weekly with a Detroit numbers house.

All four were released to await I a joint trial Aug. 8, after each furnished a $1,000 bond.
