Schlecht, Mrs. Olga M.
1231 Crosby Crescent -
Age 67, died suddenly Saturday night at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital. Born May 2, 1902, in Ann Arbor, she was the daughter of Fred and Mary Illi Hertler. She was a lifelong resident of Ann Arbor. On September 6, 1928, she married Herman H. Schlecht. Mrs. Schlecht was a member of the Bethlehem United Church of Christ, the Auxiliary of the Church and the BA Club. Mrs. Schlecht was Treasurer of the Church Women United, Past President of the Ann Arbor Circle, and the Ann Arbor Child Study Club. She was also Past President of the Numa Club. Surviving are: her husband, two daughters, Mrs. George B. (Elizabeth) Smith of Plymouth, and Mrs. Lawrence P. (Margaret Ann) McDonald of Allen Park; six grandchildren; two brothers, Albert of Jackson and Walter of Ann Arbor; two sisters, Miss Florence Hertler of Chicago and Mrs. Frank Ryan of Detroit; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Elsa A. Hertler. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, from the Muehlig Chapel with Dr. Theodore L. Trost, Jr. officiating. Burial will be made in Bethlehem Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Building Fund of the Bethlehem United Church of Christ. Friends may call at the chapel.
