The body of Lt. John (Jack) Weese, of Ann Arbor, a member of the 9th Air Force who was killed over Normandy during the Allied invasion in 1944, will arrive Saturday morning at 9:52 at the Michigan Central station. A military escort will accompany the remains. Funeral services are to be held at 3 o'clock Saturday afternoon at the Muehlig Chapel, with Dr. James Brett Kenna of the First Methodist Church officiating. Private graveside services and a military burial will follow at Bethlehem Cemetery. Lt. Weese was born Jan. 26, 1920, in Ann Arbor to Douglas and Lorena Staebler Weese. He lived here as a child and later resided with his family in several Michigan cities. He was graduated from the Durand High School, Durand, Mich., and returned to live in Ann Arbor with his parents in 1938. Prior to entering the service he attended Lawrence Institute of Technology in Detroit. His parents have lived at 10425 Jackson Rd., since 1945. Survivors in addition to his parents, are three sisters, Mrs. Marwood B. Ahling of Sterling, Ill., Miss Mary Weese of Ann Arbor and Mrs. Robert Burgett of Saline; and his maternal grandmother, Mrs. George Staebler of Ann Arbor.
