HELEN A. SMITH
Public Librarian, Retired, Dies at 91
Helen A. Smith, 91, retired public librarian, died Tuesday night at a local hospital after a long illness.
She was born Jan. 15, 1866, at Ann Arbor, a daughter of J. Gilbert and Josephine McCullom Smith. Miss Smith lived in Ann Arbor all of her life.
She was graduated from Ann Arbor High School and worked for many years in the Ann Arbor Public Library.
Miss Smith was a member of St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church.
Five cousins survive.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at St. Andrew’s Church with the Rev. Henry Lewis officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the Staffan-Hildinger Funeral Home.
