George Stepp, 49, died last night in his home at 521 Pauline Blvd. after a five-month illness. He had been employed by the Board of Education as fireman at Bach School.
Mr. Stepp, born in Germany on Jan. 14, 1900, was a son of John and Katharine Abeel Stepp. He came to this country and settled in Ann Arbor in 1924. On Dec. 24, 1925, he married Elizabeth Rodell of Ann Arbor.
Mr. Stepp was a member of the Bethlehem Evangelical and Reformed Church and of the Schwaben Verein.
He is survived by his wife and a son, John L. Stepp; his parents, four sisters, and two brothers, all in Germany; and two sisters in New York State.
Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon in the Muehlig Chapel, with Rev. Theodore Schmale officiating. Burial will be in Bethlehem Cemetery. Friends may call at the chapel.
