Nelle L. Stallings, 65, died early today in a local hospital. Her home was at 414 S. Division St.
Miss Stallings was born Jan. 30, 1884, in Newman, Ill., a daughter of David and Lydia Potts Stallings. She was employed as secretary to the Oklahoma City, Okla., chief of police for a number of years, later becoming a policewoman for eight years.
She has resided in Ann Arbor since 1941.
Miss Stallings is survived by two brothers, G. O. Stallings of Ann Arbor, and Willa N. Stallings of Denver, Colo.
The body will be taken to Blackwell, Okla., for services and burial on Tuesday.
