HARRY J. MILLER, JEWELER, IS DEAD

YPSILANTI—The body of Harry J. Miller, 42 years old, 100 W. Ainsworth Blvd., was found last night in his car in the garage beneath his home by his mother, Mrs. Cynthia Miller, when the latter returned from the jewelry store which the family operates at 25 N. Washing ton St.

An inhalator was used for more than an hour and a half but efforts were unavailing. Additional oxygen was brought to the scene by members of the sheriff’s department.

Mr. Miller had planned to leave today for Chicago to buy stock for the store, and the personal possessions which he had intended to take with him were found laid out ready to pack. Miller had been at the store until noon, but was alone at the home during the afternoon.

He was born April 12, 1897, in Ypsilanti, a son of Mrs. Cynthia Miller and the late Joseph Miller, and had spent his entire life in this city. Surviving, besides his mother, is a sister, Miss Virginia Miller, also associated with him in the store, and a brother, Andrew, at home.

Miller’s father operated the store here for 65 years until his death in 1923, after which it was continued by other members of the family. Mr. Miller had been with his father in the store for a number of years before the latter’s death.

Funeral services will be held at 2 o’clock Monday afternoon at the Geer funeral home here, with Rev. R. T. Appleyard, rector of St. Luke’s Episcopal church, officiating. Burial will be in Highland cemetery here.
