Age 68, died Thursday, August 15, 1985 at Veterans Hospital after one months' illness. He was born July 30, 1917, in Battle Creek, a son of Carl C. and Neva S. Denison Wheaton. He had been a resident of Ann Arbor for over 40 years. Mr. Wheaton was married to Florence Green in October of 1952. He had been a machinist at the Dexter Gear Company. Mr. Wheaton was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church and the Ann Arbor Model Railroad Club. He was a veteran of the US Army, World War II and a member of Graf O'Hara Post #423 Veterans of Foreign Wars. He is survived by his wife, Florence; one brother, Gordon Wheaton of Royal Oak; his mother-in-law, Violette Green of Ann Arbor; three nephews, Roland Green of Chicago, Glenn Wheaton of Troy, Mich. and Gene Wheaton of Boulder, Colorado. Cremation has taken place. Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, August 25 at the Calvary United Methodist Church on Miller Rd., Ann Arbor, with the Rev. Ira Fett officiating. Memorial tributes may be to Calvary United Methodist Church.
