MILAN—Pedro R. Perez, 74, of 36 Redman St., a Milan resident since 1942, died early today at the Beach Nursing Home, Dundee, after a long illness.
He was born Oct. 19, 1886, in Mexico, the son of Tomas and Ricarda Reyna Perez.
He moved with his parents to the United States as a child.
Mr. Perez married Irene Paiz Feb. 20, 1909, in Texas. The couple moved to Michigan in 1937 and settled in Milan in 1942. He was employed by the American Foundry Co., Milan, until his retirement in 1952.
The couple celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in 1959.
Mr. Perez is survived by his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Emma Campos of Milan; nine sons, Jesse, Gregory, John, Paul and Tony, all of Milan, and Richard, Ernest, Harry and Joe, all of Flint; and 41 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, the Rev. Roman F. Narkun officiating. Burial will be in Marble Park Cemetery.
The Rosary will be read at 8:30 p.m. Sunday in the Stevens & Bush Funeral Home. Friends may call at the funeral home.
