This pair of local roller skaters, Miss Irma Barnard, Ann Arbor, and Mickey Brown, Plymouth, are in Washington, D. C. today seeking national honors in the week-long tournament. Miss Barnard is state senior women’s champion and is considered the main challenger to Miss June Hendrich, Mineola N. Y., three-time national women’s singles titlist. The Barnard-Brown combination is also rated close to the top in doubles competition. Also at Washington seeking national honors are another local pair, Dean Busch, Ann Arbor, and Joan Tate, Plymouth. Busch and Tate are the state novice mixed pairs titlists.
