Manchester, March 21—Mrs. Barbara Katherine Schaible, 64, died Sunday night at her home in Manchester. She was born Oct. 25, 1867, in Freedom township, and was the daughter of the late Michael and Katherine Gauss. She was married Dec. 4, 1888, to William Schaible and had been a resident of Manchester since.
She is survived by her husband; a son, George at home; four brothers, George Gauss in Canada, and Emanuel, John and Michael Gauss of Manchester; a half-brother, Jacob Schaible of Manchester; and a half-sister, Mrs. Mary Kempf of Ann Arbor.
Burial will be in Oak Grove cemetery. Rev. H. S. Von Rague will conduct the funeral services, the time of which has not been determined pending word from the brother in Canada.
