MISS WACKENHUT, EDWIN O. ZILL EXCHANGE VOWS

Vows uniting in marriage Miss Helena Wackenhut, daughter of Frederick Wackenhut and the late Mrs. Wackenhut of Bridgewater, and Edwin O. Zill of Maryfield Dr., were exchanged last night in candlelight ceremonies in St. John’s Lutheran Church at Bridgewater.

The service was read by Rev. L. George Daschner, pastor of the church.

For her wedding Miss Wackenhut chose a white satin gown with a fingertip veil. She carried white roses with a pink rose corsage in the center. She was given in marriage by her brother, Lorenz Wackenhut of Bridgewater.

Miss Ruth Wackenhut, sister of the bride, was maid of honor and wore a yellow marquisette gown with a yellow headdress. She carried a mixed bouquet of carnations, snapdragons and delphiniums.

Reception Follows

Marcus Zill, of St. Louis, Mo., brother of the groom, was best man. Robert Stewart of Linwood Ave. and Paul Kuohn of Wagner Rd. served as ushers. Ralph Smitke of Packard Rd. was the vocalist.

Following the ceremonies, a reception, given by Miss Frieda Wackenhut, sister of the bride, was held in the St. John’s Church school building. Assisting were Mrs. Erwin Wild, Mrs. George Seyfried, Miss Ruth Knicht, Miss Leah Nuitz, Miss Sonya Weatherwax and Mrs. Nina Fahrner.

For her traveling costume, the former Miss Wackenhut chose a blue bolero dress with white accessories.

The couple will make their home at 1325 S. University Ave., following a short trip to northern Michigan. The bride is employed at Michigan Bell Telephone Co., while the bridegroom is with the engineering department of Argus, Inc.
