The New Mexican mail, with dates to the Rth iuït., arrived this morning. The companies against the Navajoes had been gonc about two wecke. In their absence, a band of Indiana carne within cight miles of Siftita Fe. and ran off 230 ïnules belonging to Ellsberg & .mberg. A eorópany of thirty soldiera, undcr coinmand of Ca; t. Gibbs, went in pursuit, but failtd to overtake them. A corapany of Mexicans and Pueblas also went, and recovered sixty o: the raules. The balance are eutircl} lost, which will be a heavy loss to the owners. About the game time of the abore transaction the Indianssucceeded in running from the gorernraout herd at Albuquerue one hundred cattle. They were followcd, but the Inijianskilled all the cattle and made their escape. On the Gth inst. a band of Indians crossed the river within twelve miles o: Santa Fe, goiug in thedirection of Gallis to. The govevnment and Col. Fauntleroy are at loggerheads in rogardto tfiaring down an oíd adobe building. No news from the plains of Special intereït.
