The following 8 from the Ptiladelphian of Tuesdy last : " We learn that in consequence of series of very heavy loases, amounting to over a quarter of f million dolĂ­an during the pat year, the Directors of the Quaker City Insurance Oompany have deemed it advisahle to go Dto liquidation, and have made an assignrnent of all the institution. All the losses of the cornpaoy have beeu promptly paid until very reeently." The policios oi this compaoy are scattered very wide y throughout th western States, and holderswill be tb juinars by bein early advised of this failure, in timefor them toseok security elsewhere. We are not informed that any re-assuraace of their policios was among the last acta of' the company. Probably it was not. - Chicago Tiune. Jan. 19.
