We find in the Louisville Journal, of Saturday, the following notice of the military movements in Kcntucky, of whioh the telegrapli has already given a hint : " Arming the State.- We learn tbat there is a difi'ereuce of opinión among our representativos at Frankfort as to the expcdiency of arming tha State. We havo no doubt in our mtnds upon that subject. We most earnestly hopo that no occasion niay arise within Ivoutucky, or upon its borders, for foreible colusión ; but, surely in such times as these, when the whole nation is learfully agitatcd from its centre to its circumference, and when the shock of battle is daily provoked and dailv expected in various portions of our country, Kentucky, situated as she is at one of the points of greatc st peril, should promptly provide horself with the uieans of meeting vigorously whatevcr emergeucy may arise. Wliilst intcnt upon peace on all her borders, and resolved to uso all just and honorable means to obtaiu it, she should be as wel i prepared for war as for peace, " Troops are being rapidly raised and enrolled iu all parts of Kentucky, subject to the cali of the regular military authorities of the State, and we should be glad to sce a rery handsome and even largo appropiiation made by the Legislature for snpplyinpr them with the most efficiënt iveapons of war thut can bc had,' '
