t the Franklin, on Tuesday afternoon of a large numbsr of ladies, with a very smoll quota of gentlemen; and on inquring learned that the party eonaisted of Prof. Botd, and la dy of the Monroe Female Seminary, Prof, Kellooo, Miss. Gkiswold, and abovit focty of their :pnpÜ8. They viaited the University and retnrned home Weilnesday afternoon. EP Mrs. O. Varían James gave two OonoerU ie Hangsterfer's Hall last week, on Friday and Saturday evenings, ia which she wa assisted by Mr HoFrifAX, Pianist. MrsJames is pronounced, feen by her lady hearers benutiful woman, her msnners were easy snd graoeful, her voice clear and under perfec. control, and hewonthe universal verdict of an xoellent singer, the bet, perhap, that ever ppeared befors an Ann Arbor audienee. She was Tociferously eheered, and immodertely en cored; and at the onclusion of the "Star Spangled Banner" the audienee, in good humor with Mrs, James themsclves, and the "rest of mankind," broke forth in a general hurrah. We hope that Mrs. James may visit, our City again. P. S. Since the above was in type we no tice that Mrs. James is posted for another Concert this evening.
