-The Zanesville Courier of the lst inet. contains the particuWs of the shocking murder of Wm WilkinR, a few days previous, at SewellHville, Belmont county, Ohio. The murdered man was engaged in a hoatod discus sion of the national troublcs, durinf whioh he earnestly sided with the South, and, exhibiling a pistol, exprewed hu williognow to fight ior her. One oí liis cbnipanions, who had laken partin the discussion, requested Wilkins to let him see the pistol, and, upon hip complianoe with the rc.quest, reraarked that, iithose were Wilkins' üentiments, itwas as good a timo now as any other to make a commencernent, and, placing the weapon at the breast of the latter, fired, the ball entering the heart and killing him inetantly. No arrests were mado. Life is abeautiful night, in which, as sorne stars go down, others riso.
