The Exliibition of the Union High School of this City was held on Friday eveuing last. The large hall was crowdcd at an early hour. so full that it becanic uecessary to lock the doors and turn back tho still in-flowing tide. 'tíoul'Presencc - Miss Dolia Ilotchkius, Ann Arbor Dreams - Miss Martha A. Sinith, Ano Arbor. Love of Freedom - Sanford B. Ladd, Milford. What "havo wc to do?- Miss Vorona L. Tost, lioyal Oak Civilization in America - William J. Maynsrd, Ann Arbor. The Paetolus, read by Miss Adelia C Noble, Anu Arbor. Conquests in Life- Lou3 Stoskopf, Freeport. 111. ■ The World beneath tlio Waters- Miss Maiy Wheeler, Ann Arbor. The Missionary Enterpriso - John Tliompson, Niles. Masa Meeting on Mount Olympus - Miss Flora Jewott, Ann Arber. Decisión - Ueorge M. Soott, Leavenworth, Kansas. Tho Paetolus, read by Miss Emily N. Sinith, Ann Arbor. The Silent Weaver - Miss Minnie E. Gillet, Bast Saginaw. ïhought- Sidncy K. Beokwith Chelsea. Thocompositlons of the young ladics were wcll writteu, and gave evidenco of close study and good taste, of apt scholarship and thorough inatruction. With two or threo exceptions they wcre read so as to be heard by tbc entire large audieuce. Tho young men delivered original oratious, written and delivcrGd in a manuer to reflect the bighest credit upou themselvcs and their teachers. The porformaoocs of the class spoke well for the School, and the good order maintained during the oxercises was a tribute to thoir excellence.
