Indepeiulence, March 25. Tho Nen" Mexican mail, with dates of the llth inst, arrived to-day, only thirteen days out. Captain Holloway, Lieut. Boice, and Lieut. Kelly of the U. S. ar:ny, came thiough a passenger. Lieut. Kelly, bas rosigned his commissíod, and is en route for Louisiana to join tho Southern Confederacy. Captain Holloway reports an abundanco of stores for tho army' io Nsw Mexico, with the exception of flour, which is very scarce. There is a very great scarcily of provisión among the peoplo of New Mexico, and eome suifering is anticipated. Col. Loring, who takes comrr.and oí tho Department of New Mexico was met at Fort Wise, getting along vvell. The causo of the iailure of tho mail last Tuesday, was owing to having been started from Santa Fe on the 4th inst. Tho probility is that h ere al ter this mail will run proDiptly, and mako the usual time, as an abuodance of stock, &c, has boon sent out on the road. Tho Indians on the route are to all appearapoea frieadly, but no confidenco is placed in them, and an attack from thotn at auy time would not surprise any one. The road is in fine condition, and the grass on the Arkansas very good. The report from the San Juan minea is by no means flattering. Other minos have been discovered, but none that will justify working.
