A. J. Donelson On The Existing Crisis
Andrew Jifckson Donelson, candidate for Vico President on the American ticket in 185ü, was addressed a few days since by Gen. Foote in a lotter iiujuiring as to Lis political views. In his reply Mr. Donelson says : " My plan oí action for the border States is to meet in council at Frankfort, or any central point, by tho instrumentality ol' delogntes, who will represent tho wishes ai the people, whoee duty it will bo, aitor duo consultation, to unite upon somo mensure which will secure their rights; and that this measuro will be submitted in kindness and good feeling to our brothron ol the other States, moluding (hose that havo seeeded ; and that it shall bo made a part of tho constitution, as an amendment, if it bo ncoepted by them.
