In their report they state that tho portion of the cable recovered on the American eide is periectly sound in every respect, and they attribute tho faihire in tho Bubmersion to causes which might casily be avoided in another atiempt to complete their eoterprise. They recornmend that the cornpany should bc maintained on its present footing,
