A gentloman from Frankfort, Kentucky, relatos an inoident that occurred the day he loft, which eaused quito a sensation in the Legislature. A venerable oíd farmer from a neighboriug county, one of that kind for whoni Kentucky ha an instincüve veneration, appeared ia the Legislativo Hall, uncorered his snnwy locks anc sat down. At the first lu'll in the de bate he rose s'owly and eaid he had a word to say, but w9 aware t was ou of order for him to speak before th Legislature whüe in session. His dig nified and venerable appearance ar rested attention, and " go on," " go on," from several voices, seemed to keep] him onhisfeet. Again expresa ing hia diffidenee at speaking out o propnety, Hear ! Lear ! !" resounded generally over tho room. The mem bers' cunosity as wull as respect for th appearance and manner of the m:i wf.s up, and silence followed th " Ilear I Hear ! !" wlien the old her delivered the following eloquent but laconic speech : " Gentlemen, I am delegated by my county to inform you, that if you'hold a secret seesion here aa you threatn to do, not ooe stone of this Capitol will rest upon another twenty-four bcf-jr?
