Monfgomery, May 20. President Davis will tako his deportare from this city sometime during the Present month, aod will at ooce proceccl to liichmond. Uo will place hiinscll' immediatuly at the head of the ariny, and depend on it, the war will henceforlh be inarked by decisión, vigor, and consutnmatu ability. The deeire seeme universal that tbe President öbould assume the personal eominand of the Confedérate forees, and, in fact, Iho anny itself seems to expeot it. Recent iofoFination from Pensacola forcea the sad conviction on onr minds that the hour is not i'ar distant vvhen the impetuosity of our army in Florida will be be gratified amid the roar oí ba'.tle and the wild curnage of war. It is now stated here, and by reliable persons, that Gen. Bragg will in a few day uiake an etFort to aipk the drydock in the cbannel running between Fort Pickens and Fort McRea. This altempt will be made for tho purpose of causing the guns from the latter to opérate Ruccessí'ully on any vessel that may attempt to torce an entrar.ee into the Bay of Pensacola. The doek referred to is said to be almost eqflal in si.e to your City Hotel, and was built ut a cost of $1,000,000. Itis the inlention of tho govemment to ue every eftort to recover this valuable property after the battle is over ; that ie, provided its sinking is pennit ted by tho Federal aulhority ntFort Pickens. Hut here seems the difliculty that will, in all probability, result in the opening of hostilities. Gen. Brown, it. is said, has communicated officially to Gon. Bragg his determination to prevent any further obstructton of the obannel, and will, he says, fire the moment the attempt is made. Genrral Bramar, on theother hand, saya that the doek must and will be snnk, and that the channel must and shall be obstructed. This is, I am informed, the present condHion ot our fefiairé at Peiisaoolu. 1 1 1 i ti
