-On the 17th, Brigadier Oen. Sohenck with fojjr Companies - 275 men - detnehed from his command, went out by cars on the Loudon and Hampshire Railroad. - Approaching Vionna through a deep cut, they were fired into from the embackment, by small arms, and a masked cannon. The train was disabled, and some eight or ten killed, among them John Barnes, late one of the Editora of' tbc Cleveland Hcrald. Without any dosice to eensure, we thiuk it was foolishly rumiing into a trnp.
