Mr. Raymond writes frorn Fairfax Court House to tho Times: "Ono discovery was made of somo Bignificíince. Gon. MoDmvell has had the Topographioal Engineers under his charge, employed for some weeks in preparing i very minuto and accurate map of this portion of the State. It had been brotight to a very high state of periection and was partieularly valunble froni the fact that no good maps of this oourity have ever before been made. A few photographic copies of this map were tnade a few days sinee for tho use of the War Department and of the offieers engagod in the movement. One of these inaps was found in the ramp of tke Palmetto Guards. Of courso it could only havo como thero by the treachery of somo persou holdiog a responsible position in our Government.
