Stockton's Independent Regiment, numboring rank and file about 800 mon, left Detroit on Monday evcning last by boat to Cleveland, thonco to Washington via Pittsburg and Ilarnsburg. We visited their camp on Monday afternooD, and witnessed the presentation to the Regiment, by Judge TVilkixs, in behalf of tho Ladies of Detroit, of a beautiful flag. The Judgo mado an excellent speech which was appropriately responded to by Col. Stockton, when the flag was comtnitted to the charge of the color bearer, and threo rousing cheers given for the ladies. - Geo. M. JDanforth, Esq., late of thie City, then presented a beautiful sword to Mfij. Welch whieh was accepted with a promise to makt) it do good duty. - This Regiment is a stalwart body of men, and is well officored. It will givo a good account of itsolf hereafter. - Tho Regiment arrived safely at Cleveland Tuesday morning.
