Is provides that our governraent shall p.iy 811,000,000 to Mexico, to bo applied to the satisfaction of ünglish and French credilors, and fur a giant to the United States of commercial privileges, the adjustiDcnt of outsanding dab's, and the right of transit across Mexican territory for troops and mumtious of war. It is thought tliat tl:e treaty will be spoedily eonfirmed and sent at once to Vera Cruz.
