At tho moment of the crash, thero were eight or ten emploj'es of the office in the nevvs-room, but slrange to relate, not one of them was eerióusly hurt. The escape ?f Mr. Bonnet eeemed almost miraculous. Being near the centre of the room, he w:is caught by the duscendingrubbish, and crirrted through to thelower floor; yet his only injury was an insignifieant brüiae. Slost of the compositora were near one eids of the room - in the act of enting thdr -which fact donbtless contributed to thoir safety. The building was owned bv Messrs. Freer, Myrick & ïlamlin. The total loss cannot yet be correctly estimated, bot it must amoant to several thousand dollars. Workmen wcre promptly engagod in repairing ihe damagea and rigtuing up affáira in the office. - The proprietor of the Times fonnd it irnpopsible, in the mixed condición of mattere, to issue any sheet this raorning Their paper wíl] probably re-appc-ar by to morrow. The fullowing note explaina itself : Office ck tuk Chicago times, ) No 74 Rnndolpli street, Chicago, March 22, 1862. ) " To the Editora of the Chicago Tribune : " You wil! do us a kindness if you wiil state tbat, in conseqnence of the accident to our establishment yesterday, we are compelled to suspend tho issue of tho Times this (Saturday) 'iiorning, and that we shall resume líítí regular issue to-morrow (Sunday) inorning. " Very rcspectftilly, " STOKEY fe'VORDE2i." Our neighbor8 have our sympathy in thisferious loss and interruption of their business ; yet, while tlie destruction of property is deeply to be deplored, it is a matter of' somo congratulation that this sudden wreek of a large building was attended ivith no loss of üf'3 or serious bodily iujury to any person.
