I called on Mr. Juekson, a gentleman of much influence here, and one wbo fee Is a doep interest in the subject of education. T found in his handd a biibscription drawn by hicqself for a Wesleyan Methodist Seuiinary at Leoni, and filled to the amount of about one thousTiid dollars by gentlemen of this vicinity. - Mr. Juekson is ready to give us all the aid he can in obtain'mor subscripción, and thinks it probable that his subscripción may beswelled by the people of this place to $1500. He offers in addition to his subscriplion, to give a beautiful site a short distance east of the village, and a few rods south of the Rail Road. 1 think tbat I act in accordance with the wishes of the friends of education in our church throughout the central pait of Michigan, when I earnesily request the abovc named commitlee, and Board of Trustees, with Br. Hovey the conference Agent to be present at the Anti-elavery Anniversary at Jackson to confer upon the 6iibiect.
