While the First was stationed hcre Col. R., by strict attention to duty and gentlemanly qualitics, won a host of friends who dropped each a tear- ayo many tears - over the announcement of his death. - Col. Roberts was a warm friend, a faithful civil officer, a courteĆ³us gentleman, and a brave soldier. We will warrant that the Michigan First avengcd his death.
